How do I make a records request:
Please visit Sandy City’s public records portal, https://cityofsandycityut.nextrequest.com/ to submit a request. Other written requests submitted by mail, fax, email, or in person are all accepted, but will be entered into the online portal for processing.
Can I request Police Requests through this portal?
Currently all Police Records requests need to be submitted to our Sandy City Police Records Division. For more information please email PDrecords@sandy.utah.gov, or visit the website https://ut-sandycity.civicplus.pro/440/GRAMA-Requests
When will I receive a response to my request?
Requests will be answered within ten (10) business days from the date we received your request. (UCA 63G-2-204). If the request will take longer than the ten (10) business days, we will notify you that additional time is needed to fulfill your request.
How will I receive the records and communicate with the City after submitting the request?
You will receive email notifications when there are updates to your request. You can create an account by using the “Sign In” option at the top of the page. What fees are involved in making a records request?
The first fifteen (15) minutes of fulfilling the request is free. If a request is going to take longer than fifteen (15) minutes to complete, there may be a charge (UCA 63G-2-203).
If you are requesting Fire Reports, there is a charge of $10 per report.

Do you maintain Birth or Death Certificates?
No, the Sandy City does not keep these records. Please contact the Salt Lake County Health Department to receive certified copies of these records:

Do you maintain Marriage Certificates?
No, Sandy City does not maintain Marriage Certificates. Please contact the County where you were married. If you were married in Salt Lake County please visit their website https://slco.org/clerk/marriages/.
